The story is based on an epic novel by Cho Jeongrae, which is loved by 10 million readers. The story takes place during the years of Japanese occupation of Korea. It tells stories of the people’s lives, love, and fight during the period of turmoil. More than 50 beautiful songs that transcend the East and the West are played, including variations of Korean folk song "Arirang," which was sung in the good and the bad times of the chaotic days. The beautiful music and spectacle, dynamic scene composition stand out in the show. For its first performance in 2015, it was chosen and loved by the audience as the "Best Musical of 2015" and by the experts as "The Performance of the Year.
