Company Introduction
Starting with some of the performances by the existing MJCompany(CEO: Mu-yeol Choi), Harmony Company was newly establishedin May 2017 with Harmony, a musical with citizen participants.
As the Company’s first work, Harmony had 22 shows at Seoul Arts Center from May 5 to 21. Five shows were sold out and the others were filled at 82 percent.
The Company is planning to travel around Korea to involve choruses and citizen actors from different cities and provinces in an attempt to develop local cultural content.
The first project has been planned by the Goyang Cultural Foundation. There are four shows at the Goyang Eoullim Theater (1,148 seats) from July 13 to 15. Ten citizen actors, six choruses from the Goyang area and Children’s chorus participate in the performance.
The Company is planning to expand the project through local arts and culture ceters in Korean cities and provinces in order to develop Korea’s own creative musical and to make inroads into the global market.
