Center Stage Korea

Center Stage Korea (CSK), initiated and organized by KAMS, is a partnership with international presenters. In cooperation with festivals, venues and networks, Center Stage Korea introduces Korea’s diverse performances to audiences around the world, thus strengthening cultural enrichment, mutual understanding and exchange in the field of arts. The CSK’s grant will cover the part of the international airfare and freight cost of invited Korean performing artists/groups. And the funds go directly to the Korean artists/groups. The deadline of application for the CSK will be every year at the end of November.

Center Stage Korea : Korean focused program Cooperate with major theaters and festivals abroad and introduce Korean performing arts productions as a special programs featuring two or more Korean artists/groups or Korean group(s) in an opening or closing performance.

Center Stage Korea : Tour A Tour featuring one or more Korean performing artists/groups planned by two or more partner organizations at several festivals/venues.

Promoting Participation in the Overseas Performing Arts Market

The Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS) carries out projects to support participation in overseas performing arts markets in order to expand promotion opportunities and develop the overseas market for Korean promoters and performing artists/groups. The project titled ‘Promoting Participation in the Overseas Performing Arts Market’ supports Korean promoters/producers or Korean performing artists/groups.

Promoters/producers who participate in major overseas performing arts markets or international meetings for the promotion of their works are eligible for support. In-depth research into global markets by senior promoters/producers can also be supported.

Korean performing arts groups/artists that are invited to official showcases at KAMS-designated international performing arts markets and festivals can apply for a tour grant under the ‘Promoting Participation in the Overseas Performing Arts Market’ project.

K-Musical Road Show

K-Musical Road Show consists of showcase, business meeting, and networking program, seving as a platform exchange and cooperation between Korea and international parter’s country. Both Korean and nternational performers can exchange ideas and information to better understand each other’s artistic culture. *Please check the Notice board for further information related to the KAMS projects in progress.

Journey to Korean Music

Journey to Korean Music is a platform that introduces the music and culture of Korea to world music experts form around the globe and provides support for traditional Korean bands seeking to take their music abroad. Through Journey to Korean Music, overseas experts can gain and understanding of both Korean culture and music while Korean bands can access opportunities for promotion and take steps to advance into the international market. Over 140 international world music experts, including directors and journalists have visited Korea to take part in this program over the years.

Journey to Korean Music offers a rich experience of Korea music in all of its diversity, from traditional Korean arts in their original forms to Korean music reshaped using morden language. *Please check the Notice board for further information related to the KAMS projects in progress.

KAMS Connection

KAMS Connection is a research program to encourage international communications and cooperations among professionals in the performing arts field. Co-organized by KAMS and its global partners, the program provides participants with opportunities to visit the corresponding countries, accumulate market knowledge and find possibilities for potential collaborations. To induce constructive exchanges and creative collaborations, KAMS Connection offers participants stepwise supports from the early research to the following project development, which are based on reciprocal cooperations with KAMS and its partners.

Performing Arts Market in Seoul(PAMS)

Performing Arts Market in Seoul(PAMS) is an international platform for performing arts professionals and practitioners, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, KAMS has hosted every October.

The primary objectives of PAMS are to invigorate Korean performances’ distribution and exportation. PAMS’s diverse programs (i.e. PAMS Choice, showcase, booth exhibitions, information sessions and networking programs) enable international performing arts professionals to share trends and informations; to communicate with each other and to seek the distribution opportunities.

Seoul Performing Arts Festival(SPAF)

Seoul Performing Arts Festival(SPAF) is one of the most prestigious and inspiring performing arts festival in Korea, featuring works from both Korean and international artists in all genres including theatre, dance and multi-genre art. SPAF hosts the most outstanding directors, artists and theatre experts from around the world. Being one of the leading performing arts festival in Asia, it strivers to rase great interest of the spectators, media, and artists. It is recognized as an event shaping and defining international standards in contemporary performing arts.
