Company Introduction
Profssional art group ArtStage San is willing to bring life to puppets so that they can breathe on stage like real actors. In this way, the group experiments with and discovers the potential and grammar of puppetry. They always pursue something new in collaboration with diverse art forms and genres.
Starting with the 2009 World Puppet Theatre Festival in Charleville-Mézières, France, they have performed in Spain, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Estonia, Iran, Brazil, China and Japan to be acclaimed by the global audience. In 2009, they won the Jury’s Prize at the TitirijaI-International Puppet Festival of Tolosa in Spain and in 2012, the Best Play prize awarded by the general assembly of UNIMA.
In 2016, they performed at the Théâtre de la ville de Paris in France and toured Southeast Asia (China, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand), thus being recognized for the quality of their performances and securing new audiences globally.
