Company Introduction
ArtStage San is willing to bring life to puppets so that they can breathe on stage like real actors. In this way, the group experiments with and discovers the potential and grammar of puppetry. Since their founding in 2001, they have continued their diverse experiments and research focused on puppets and objets. Going beyond performing arts, they engage in diverse and complex artistic activities through education and experience programs, exhibitions and international exchange.
In 2018, their performance A Bride without Hands drew attention by being selected for Namsan Arts Center’s season program for the first time for a puppetry work. They will build on this occasion to attract more diverse audiences. They will continue to offer delightful, touching and memorable moments through colorful stories using puppets and through ceaseless development of visual effects, so that the group can ultimately suggest life’s big themes.
