Call for Applications (Foreign Artists)
Incheon Art Platform ("IAP") offers a creative work environment and various residency programs for artists. IAP is now publicly recruiting creative and promising artists of various genres for its March 2014 residency program.

■ Fields of Recruitment
- Visual Art - painting, sculpture, photography, installation, video imagery, graphics, performance, etc.
- Performance Art - producing, choreography, playwright, composition, performance, mime, media art, sound design, special (stage) design, etc.
- Literature, Research & Criticism - literature, humanities, exhibition planning, criticism of various fields and theory, etc.
- Other - Interdisciplinary art, site-specific art, community art, etc.
■ Duration of Residency
Residency Duration for Foreign Artists:
Short Term (3 months)
2014/03-05(a), 2014/06-08(b), 2014/09-11(c)
* Current resident artists of IAP may also reapply. Maximum of three extensions.
* Classification of Korean & foreign artists are based upon applicant’s nationality (on the date of notice).
* Additional notices for Residency Project will be sent out for Performance Art applicants during March/April 2014.
* The standard duration for foreign artists is 3 months short term. However, based on internal review of artists work and if applicant resolves their own visa issues, foreign applicant’s stay may be extended up to 6 months (prior notice to IAP required).
■ Qualification for Application
- Creatively active single or group applicants, over 24 years of age (applicant must be born before 23 OCT 1988) from the date of notice (undergraduate students excluded).
- Studio use required. (Minimum of 10 times per month required. If not satisfied, applicant will be subject to assessment and may be asked to vacate the residence.)
- Pets, children, or families members are not allowed to reside with the applicant.
- Applicants must be fluent in English to give lectures or workshops.
6. Support offered by Program
- Provision of studio (1 Studio per 1Artist/1 Team) & guesthouse
* Literature, research & criticism applicants will only receive guest house.
- Offers residency program, exhibition & projects, support in artist promotion, etc.
- Financial aid in projects (differential aid offered based upon MAR/APR assessment)
- Round trip plane tickets offered to foreign artists (*differential aid to top 3 artists based on grading level)
- Among the selected IAP residency program artists (2014), based on project content, selected resident artists may receive Peace Art Project and other project support.
* All utility bills during applicant’s stay must be paid in full upon vacating residence/studio.
* IAP is not responsible for applicant’s cost of living during the program duration (i.e. personal material costs, travel costs, transportation cost, food and general amenities).
