Title: Story of Seungmoo
Running Time: 60mins
Genre: Multidisciplinary

Project Introduction
-Story of 1000 Years of Seungmoo by Lee, Chuljin
-Encounter of technology and traditional art

“Seungmoo” was originally from temple and sole dance, the most artistic dance among Korean traditional dance classified into ‘Jeungjoongdoong, Dongjoongjeong’. The costume of the dancer are pants and top in white, a cone hat, a red badge across the shoulder, and two drum sticks on both hands. The dance is facing drum and showing back of the dancer and wearing the cone
hat which covers the dancer’s face from audience; all these mean the dancer is only trying to show the art.

1. On this ''Seungmoo'', we attempt new method for harmony of tradition and modernism by playing modern French ensemble, Linea which is played by the Korean-French composer Cho, HyunHwa

2. We are also trying new 3D media play to express spacious stage of the long Jangsam from ''Seungmoo''. Through this new attempts, the tradition meets modern technology to expend the way of expression, also it will be our chance for step forward to global market. When out new 3D media play is completed, based on that we will also look for the best method to apply this new attempt to education.

The Korean Art Centre was established for succession and development of Korean traditional art and culture with our motto ‘Korean is as worldwide’. As we follow our motto, the first theatre, Theater Sungkyun for Korean traditional dance was built at Myungryun-Dong in 2007, and the second theatre, Dreaming Theatre in 2011 in order to communicate and educate traditional art and culture to more audience easier way. We provide our theatres for the traditional artists who have performed the Korean traditional dance and music in too spacious theatres and places because of difficult cultural environment and space pharmaceutically. We have performed a lot of Korean traditional dance and performance such as ‘Bubgochangshin’(2007), ‘Traditional play and art festival’(2008~2010), ’30 Days of Monk’s Dance’(2009), ‘100 Days of Monk’s Dance’(2010), ‘Mr. Lee, WonGuk’s Monday Ballet’(2010), ‘Travel for Dance’(2011), ‘1000years of Monk’s Dance’(2011), ‘Chunhyang’(2011), ‘Music of Chosun Dynasty, happiness, sadness, love, and haterd’(2011), etc. With all these effort, our Theater Sungkyun was approved by Korean Art and Culture Committee as theatre for traditional art and culture.
