The 8th Busan International Performing Arts Festival

The Busan International Performing Arts Festival, the first festival of the spring

season, is the only Korean festival to employ a changing annual theme and is moving forward into its 8th year under the theme of “Love & Harmony.”
Love is complicated and its interpretations are varied. Through diligent selection of works to be included in this 8th BIPAF, we aim to showcase many different types of love as conceptualized and demonstrated through performing arts. Our hope for BIPAF audiences is to take that journey and discover a more harmonic world made possible by realizing love in its sincerest form.
There are the 19 dynamic works from seven different countries coming together at this festival. Performances will be held throughout the city of Busan from May 1st to 10th, at Busan Cultural Center, Busan Citizen’s Hall, EulSukDo Cultural Center, Kyungsung University, Culture Alley Yongcheon Jiral Theater, as well as various concert halls and outdoor stages, will play host to the plethora of performances with BIPAF.
