Korea Arts Management Service: Call for “Funding for International Collaborative Project”
(Deadline November 30, 2010)
The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS) are accepting applications for financial support under the “Funding for International Collaborative Project”.
Funding for International Collaborative Project aims to create a system of long-term, mutual cooperation with Korean and international performing arts organizations, associations, festivals, and theaters and to develop original projects for international collaboration. KAMS provide support for sharing, development, and implementation of ideas by performing arts specialists, including producers, programmers, festival organizers, and administrators.
Examples of Funding for International Collaborative Project include international collaborations on a new work or a workshop or a residency to strengthen the capability of performing arts specialists.
This 2011 Funding for International Collaborative Project open call is directed toward Korean partners to facilitate communication during the selection process. If you are currently working with a Korean partner or have one in mind for this project, please work with them on your application.
○ Eligibility Criteria
-To qualify for Funding for International Collaborative Project, the Korean and international performing arts organizations, associations, festivals, and theatres must be working on an international collaboration that will occur between March 2011 and December 2012.
-The project has to be based on long-term cooperation between specific international partners or those in the same field.
※ Only the Korean partner can apply to the open call.
○ Benefits for Selected Projects
- Support from KAMS: A maximum 40,000,000 won in funding, indirect support like project administration, holding a debriefing session.
- Responsibilities for the selected Korean partner: Meeting expenses that exceed the level of KAMS support.
- International Partner Responsibilities: Share the equal responsibilities for the total budget and the administrative work in the project equally.
○ How to Apply
-Two copies of the project plan (written in the required format)
-Documented evidence of a mutual relationship (e.g. copies of an MOU, contract, e-mail transmissions, etc.)
-Project budget plan for 2011 (written in the required format)
-Proof of both partners’ professional experience (separate works and any joint collaborations) over the last two years (programs, leaflets, press reports, video clips, etc.)
-Hard copy (preferably original) materials must be mailed with the application forms to the following address: B1 Daehangno Arts Theater, 1-67, Dongsung-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul 110-809, Korea

-Application review: Beginning of December, 2010
-Results announced: December 20, 2010 (Mon.)
