The Seoul Section of the Int’l Dance Council CID-UNESCO(Conseil International de la Danse), led by President LEE Jong-Ho, holds the 13th Seoul International Dance Festival 2010 from September 30 (Thu.) to October 20 (Wed.). The Seoul Section of the Int’l Dance Council CID-UNESCO Seoul office has taken the leading role in promoting Korea’s international engagement for the development of Korean dance scene and the advancement of Korea’s presence in the international arena since the 13th General Assembly of the CID-UNESCO and the first Seoul International Dance Festival in 1998. Remarkable and promising dance troupes and artists from in and outside of Korea, including Cuba, Italy, Israel, Spain, Japan, France, Portugal, Macedonia, Togo, Brazil, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Lebanon, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, U.S., and Mexico, will present a colorful variety of programs to meet with audiences across the city, including the Seoul Arts Center, Hoam Art Hall, Sejong M Theater, Sogang University Mary Hall, Mullae 3ga Cheoljae Street, Horim Art Center and Yoido Hangang Park.
Meanwhile, in conjunction with the festival, the Seoul Performing Arts Critics Forum 2010 will be held to provide an occasion for in-depth discussions on today’s dance culture and criticism and to provoke fresh discourse, adding to the richness of the festival.
