The World Festival of National Theaters was first held in September of 2007 in light of introducing the up-to-date trend in performing arts to Korean audiences so as to offer good opportunities to experience authentic and distinctive performing arts from around the world.
The World Festival of National Theaters differentiates itself from other existing performing arts festival by inviting performing arts companies that are particularly strong in reflecting the cultural tradition and identity of their countries to their performances.
English subtitles are available for all performances in order to help non-Korean audience members understand each content of every performance.
