This festival is set in and around a medieval fortress town that blossomed into modern-day Suwon. Organizers give preference to original works and joint productions, especially those that incorporate the fortresses castles, lakes and towers. The festival is growing in popularity and has already achieved one goal of increasing residents’ interest in theater.
