Miryang Summer Performing Arts Festival Successfully Held Its 10th Edition

Celebrating its 10^th edition, Miryang Summer Performing Arts Festival was held from July 22 to August 1. With this year’s theme “Even in the 21^st centuty, theater is still theater,” the festival created its turningpoint that points to a new direction of the festival’s next 10-year programme plan. Since its inception, Miryang Summer Performing Arts Festival has established itself in the center of the worldwide theater network, nurturing young and prospective Korean theater artists and facilitating international exchanges of theater between Korea and other parts of the world. It has also provided citizens with a unique chance to experience performing arts in natural surroundings. Based on these characteristics, the festival will continue to maintain and promote theater’s distinguished tradition.
