Company Introduction
The Black String has solid roots in Korean traditional music and harmonizes with ’jazz’, a music genre with similar characteristics of ’improvisation’, showing modern and unique beauty. Various musical attempts to exploit new sounds in the performances of each performer will
be added, and the new paradigm will be presented while informing the special and artistic excellence of Korean traditional music through the music of the Black String which boasts a high-level artistic perfection.
Performance Detail
Mask Dance was inspired by the Korean Traditional Story of wearing Cheo-Yong masks and kicking out evil spirits. It has dynamically expressed the bizarre, exotic and mysterious image of Korean Traditional story through music. The cross-over of Korean traditional music and jazz, which is the improvised sound of the geomungo, guitar, daegeum and percussion instruments, presents unique and contemporary beauty.
