"Language of Body" unique to Ambiguous paints the process of using techniques, jumps, showmanship, accents, positions, lines, contractions, relaxations, bends, stretches, riffs, perfect syncs, breaking down beats, swag, syncopation, feeling the upbeat, or downbeat, exact canon, solos, exaggeration, getting the feel, and faking it ’til you make it in order to reach the state of absolute immersion, trance and ecstasy.
A wild journey to find the dance of catharsis! The elation and catharsis danced by the whole body doesn’t care if it is art or not - the passionate performers will dance their superpower on stage.

A dance that inspires thrill and excitement: the irresistible joy danced with the whole body
“Dance of the blade”
In order to show their spiritual powers in their rituals, shamans dance on a straw cutter barefoot and channel the messages of spirits. Just imagining them dancing on the blades gives off chills. We hoped to create a performance where audiences can feel this thrill and excitement together. What else really matters other than this irresistible joy?
Stirring the thrill and excitement within the dancers, Catharsis aims to continue the movement research that Ambiguous Dance Company has been expressing in their works for the past 10 years.

About company
Founded in 2007 and led by artistic director Bo-ram Kim, Ambiguous Dance Company integrates their unique interpretation of music and distinct movements to bring dance closer to the public and let them forget ’contemporary dance is difficult to understand.’
As a non-commercial art company, they aim to express music and dance through ’body’ and make it into most precise and truthful language. They focus on delivering ’something’ inside the heart rather than concepts or genres of dance, or communicating a message or meaning. Ambiguous Dance Company aims to express music and dance through ’body,’ believes it can be the most precise and truthful language, and tries to talk about the importance of the authentic essence.
