About performance
Dancers’ movements seen in ’I Sense What They Feel’are created from the sensations saved in the muscles usually through daily experiences.

For example, like the muscular senses used when a leg is lifted avoid an object abruptly passing under a chair, when one has to hold his or her breath for a long time because the space stinks, when one scratches a body part that is not easy to reach, when the mouth is puckered up to whistle without fail, and when one laughs so hard until the stomach aches, the movements in the piece are rooted in muscular sensations that probably all of us already know.

Throughout the show, the dancers induce the transmission of sensations by using ingredients of muscle sensation such as extremely minute movements, movements with irregular rhythms or unusual breathing patterns. The audience feel the occurrence of certain affects like strange discomfort, frustration and itchiness. Either by directly responding to a dancer’s action or agreeing to another viewer’s reaction, the audience connects through physical sensation and soon recognize the invisible links with others.

Synopsis
An invisible link of the senses
The creation of I Sense What They Feel began by contemplating the possibility of physical sensations that enable sensory communication with a stranger. By capturing and activating an immediate transmission of physical sensations to the viewers without verbal communication, the piece tries to form shared physical sensations within a circular auditorium.
