Gyeongju World Culture Expo
|
The Gyeongju World Culture Expo was established by the province of Gyeongsangbuk-do in 1996 to enhance the cultural pride of Koreans and contribute to the development of human culture through the integration of Korean culture and world culture in Gyeongju, a ’roofless museum’ that shines the spotlight on five millennia of Korean history. Just as the UK’s industrial expositions led 20th century industrial society, the Gyeongju World Culture Expo aims to become a pioneer cultural icon of the 21st century through cultural expositions, exploring the future direction of human civilization and raising regional and national competitiveness. The corporate body responsible for the Gyeongju World Culture Expo, located in Cheongeun-dong within the Bomun Tourist Complex, is the Culture Expo Foundation, composed of 1 division, 1 units and 7 departments. The Culture Expo Foundation is continuing to make every effort to realize the true ideals of the Gyeongju World Culture Expo. |
