Mokpo Culture and Arts Center

The Mokpo Culture and Arts Center was opened in July 1997 to play a role as a cultural and artistic hall, along with the enhancement of the level of the art of Mokpo citizens. With Ipamsan Mountain as a folding screen, there is a wide open sea of Mokpo along with Yeongsan River. From the view of the building to the beautiful scenery, the Culture and Arts Center has seven exhibition halls, two special rooms, and 698 concert halls. The permanent exhibition hall exhibits renowned artists from the region, including their history, books, paintings, and photographs, throughout the year, and offers high-quality performances and exhibitions to enjoy the fragrant art of the South. Near the Culture and Arts Center, Namnong Memorial Hall, National Maritime Relics Exhibition Hall, and Important Intangible Cultural Heritage Education Center are located to provide a multi-faceted view, as well as a resting place for the citizens of Mokpo by creating a park facility. |
