The Daegu Arts Center is beginning anew. While still holding to the role it has played and its many accomplishments over the past 25 years, the Center is poised to launch into the future armed with a new vision and strategy.

In the past, the Daegu Arts Center was the epicenter of the continuation and development of culture and the arts in Daegu.
But with the opening of Daegu Opera House, Daegu Art Museum and Daegu Concert House, it was clear that Daegu Arts Center—which had previously performed all of these functions—needed a new direction and vision for the future.

Daegu Arts Center’s new vision “To become the center of culture and the future of art in Daegu,” is accompanied by three strategies towards realizing this vision: “For Daegu citizens: driving the culture of Daegu,” “By Daegu artists: fostering the arts of Daegu,” and “Fostering the arts of Daegu: fostering the spirit of Daegu.”

Daegu Arts Center has announced that it will be completely dedicated to the city’s residents, the city’s artists, and the spirit of sharing that is alive and well in Daegu.
By identifying itself with its home city, the Daegu Arts Center is committed to enriching the lives of Daegu residents, advancing Daegu artists, and spreading the Daegu spirit far and wide.
