Gangneung Art Center was established in 1993 as a Gangneung Culture and Art Center, and have grown into a cultural space for citizens through various performances, exhibitions, and arts education programs with the aim of promoting cultural arts and expanding cultural enjoyment.

* Saimdang Hall (Grand Hall)

Saimdang Hall is a large-scale concert hall with 972 seats, a stage where 150 person can stand, and a pit that can accommodate up to 70 orchestra members. It is a comprehensive cultural and artistic space with a system suitable for performances of various genres (musical, opera, music concerts, and mass performances). It provides the best acoustic environment with the installation of a variable sound facility. Sound can be adjusted according to the conditions of the stage.

* Small Theatre

Small Theatrer has 385 seats, and the dressing room and waiting room were designed with the flow of human traffic in mind. It has facilities for concerts, plays, and other various artistic activities. It is a stage where you can try various stage directions and breathe with the audience.

* Exibition Room

Exhibition Room has three exhibition spaces (438.84㎡, 216.72㎡ and 311.04㎡) and the first and second exhibition rooms are portable partitions. It can accommodate exhibitions of various genres such as painting, sculpture, media and installation art. In addition, the third exhibition hall is a space where projects to collaborate with other genres can be developed in connection with the exhibition, creating a new paradigm in the field of exhibition.
