Seoul Metropolitan Dance Theatre

The Seoul Metropolitan Dance Theatre has played the role of a dance group to the fullest, representing Korea at international events such as the ’84 LA Olympics Closing Ceremony’, the ’90 Beijing Asian Games Art Festival’ and others. In addition, it has been invited to the ‘WDA Philadelphia Performance’, a ‘South American tour’, special performances for the Taiwan 2000 Asia·Pacific Cultural City Mayors’ Meeting’, the ‘2002 Year of National Exchange between Korea and Japan Osaka Invitation Performance’, ‘the 2003 Europe, and America Tour’, ‘2006-2007 Asia Stage Art Festival Invitation Performance’, ‘2008 Year of Korea-Japan Tourism Exchange – Kyoto Invitation Performance’, ‘2009 North Europe Tour’, ‘2011 Shanghai International Art Festival’, and other events to enhance the international status of Korean traditional dance and contribute to the exchange of international culture.
