A warm artistic nest embracing artists! Creative Studio for the Disabled Since its use as a product display space for small- and medium-sized enterprises fell inactive, the Creative Studio for the Disabled has since been reactivated as a creative space exclusively for disabled artists located in Sports Complex, Songpa, Seoul. Since opening its doors in 2007, the gross area of 472 m2 has been built into creative rooms, managing offices, display rooms and lecture halls, in addition to a parking lot, and lavatories catering exclusively to the needs of disabled artists. The Creative Studio for the Disabled is an incubating space for disabled artists offering creative and display spaces. While promoting resident artists through regular special education programs on the one hand, they are also helping to promote understanding of disabilities and local community spirit through social welfare-oriented business management projects, such as public art projects and cultural exchange programs.
