Ockrang Cultural Foundation

The Ockrang Cultural Foundation and Dong Soong Art Center were established by Kim Ock-rang, who is also their directior. She has been supporting culture and the arts since 1991. The foundationa’’s mission is to support artists and performing artists in creative alternative ways to conventional funding by bussiness, the goverment, and other foundation.
Since 1995, the Foundation has been collaborating with the Asian Cultural Council of the Rockefeller Foundation in exchange programs that send Korean artists abroad and bring foreign artists to Korea. Over the years, the Ockrang Cultural Foundation has supported research projects that promote artistic creation touching on the identity of Korean art and performing art and twenty-first century culture.
