PlayFactory Mabangzen

In 2005, Playfactory Mabangzen was founded by playwriter and director Koh Sun-Woong. A seeker of magical realism, Koh is interested in writing about the strange realities and characters of the world. Playfactory Mabangzen’s aim is to find that which lies at the core of the piece, the essentiality, and recreate it. Currently, Playfactory Mabangzen is actively work in local and abroad.
The name "Mabangzen" in Korean language represents the sum of significant numbers spreading in all four cardinal directions. This became the name of the troupe as it is believed that no matter the level of emotion or deviation, the sum of the whole must be the same.
