Theater Yeon Woo Company (Yeonwoo Mudae) was founded in 1977 when were still very few original Korean plays. Since then, the company concentrated on creating satirical dramas that had a keen eye onthe society and people in the same generation. The frontier spirit of Theater Yeon Woo Company contributed to the birth of the golden age in the 1990s where original plays in Korea flourished. Moreover, the company s diverse experimental style also began the new Korean theatrical mode. The Theater Yeon Wooismain streamKorean theater history that is still evolving.
