Ahn Aesoon Dance Company

The A-soon Dance Company started out as a pick-up group and is now a professional company composed of regular members. In its representative works such as After the Other, Just-Feedback, On Time, and The Eleventh Shadow, it has revealed a sophisticated sense of rhythm and dynamism as well as an innovative use of space. Its wide ranging repertoire including White Noise, chosen as the closing work at the Indonesia Art Summit in 2007, has resulted in numerous invitations to major festivals around the world including Berlin Asia Week, the Servatino Festival, Singapore Arts Festival and Yokohama Festival. Staff members are selected through auditions every year and artists in various genres regularly hold open classes and workshops. Small theater performances for individual choreographic works are open to young choreographers. This serves to educate the next-generation of choreographers and provide them with essential experience.
