Dance Company THE BODY

The dance company THE BODY, a joint collaboration between modern dancer Lee Yun Kyung and Ryu Seok Hun, renowned for their exceptional skill and perfect harmony, have performed over 40 performs at 11 venues in 2004. With endless vitality and solid workmanship, general director Ryu Seok Hun finds his ideas from everyday life, and lifts them into dance movements. His use of theatrical techniques, various objects and sound effects facilitate understanding of his work to mass, thereby renouncing the notion that modern dance is hard to grasp. Artistic Director Lee Yun Kyung, famous for numerous onstage experience, flexibility and technique, recreates and instills energy into the performance. First established as Lee Yun Kyung- Ryu Seok Hun Dance company in 2001, they have established themselves as professional dance organization in 2004, changing the name to "The Body." With their zeal and ideas, the dance company THE BODY is a unique organization where people from various fields as dance, theater, art converge to form works that communicate with mass.
