Korean modern dance follows a mainstream path where it adds theatrical aspects to abstract images. Kim Nam Jin aims to choreograph dances which are more realistic and factually based. He wants the audience to bear in mind throughout the performance the WHY, rather than the dancing mechanics. Kim Nam Jin’s dance language is comprised of very strong dance energy coupled with soft motion to which he adds dramatic elements. He has created an original modern dance which investigates Korean dance color and culture. He has evolved into a person true to the meaning of Choreographer as well as being a dancer. These days, he is often invited to perform at famous festivals all over the world.
