The two-headed drum (janggo) like other traditional Korean percussion instruments has a long history, but is considered to be the most suitable instrument for expressing diverse Korean rhythms. Sonagi Project is a representative contemporary creative classic music performance group, who adapt the janggo’s uses to a modern context in which they experiment with and pioneer new music forms.
