Open Call for the Connection 2011: Performing Arts Specialists Research Exchange Visit 

Korea-Finland Connection & Korea-UK Connection 

 

 


 Background 

Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS)Dance Info Finland/ TAIVEX Programme (Finland), and Visiting Arts (UK) have launched international exchange programmesince 2010, aiming to incubate new international projects of long-term, mutual cooperation. They discover, develop, and support projects by providing meetings, joint research, and the sharing, development, and implementation of ideas to performing arts specialists

 

 


 Open Call 

The call is now open for Korean, British, and Finnish participants who have the interest and will to develop long-term relationships and collaborative projects. Participants will be chosen based on the applications.

Qualificationfor the participants 

-Korean and Finnish performing arts managers who focus on dance and dance-based art forms (programmers and art managers for the festivals or art centres, agencies, not an artist) and interested in developing long-term collaboration workbetween Korea and Finland. 

-Korea and UK Senior festival practitioners(programmers, producers, managers) who are a member of the festivals and interested in developing long-term collaborative workbetween Korea and UK. 

Number of participants 

Total 20 people (10 from each country) 

Total 12 people (6 from each country) 

Programme 

Preliminary on-line exchange 

(May~August

 

 


7 days research in UK (July) 

-Manchester, Edinburgh 

-Introduction/ Workshops/Roundtable/ Discussions/ Performance viewing, etc. 

7 days research in Finland (August) 

-Helsinki, Tampere, and possibly Turku 

-Connect with the participants/Network with companies and organizations/ Participating in seminars/Performances viewing 

7 days research in Korea (October) 

-Seoul and another(to be confirmed) 

-Connect with the participants/Network with companies and organizations/ Participating in seminars/Performances viewing

Feedback exchange & on-line networking
