Company Introduction

The band ‘Dul-da’ consists of gayageum and haegeum musicians. The word Dul-da literally means ‘both’. The band got its name from the poem of Dongju-Yun who expressed the generosity of the sea and the sky. Dul-da’s music is mainly focused on human history and feelings. To expand its musical area, Dul-da has collaborated with various musicians from many different fields. Their goal is to make a happy life for ‘You and Me’, ‘Us and them’ and ‘Dul-da’ with music.

Performance Detail

Band Dul-da’s music is made based on pansori, shaman music and folk songs including those from Jeju Island and lyrics from the Joseon dynasty. They sing love, sorrow and scars by expressing historical tragedies such as the Jeju Uprising with songs. Band Dulda is hoping to give new meanings to ‘tradition’ by reflecting this generation in the emotions from tradition and history.
