Company Introduction
Music Group NAMU is made up of creative artists who are actively working in their own field, centering around the daegeum player Aram Lee. The band stands out both in the traditional and creative music fields, since it creates a new kind of music and tone beyond the boundaries of the conventional genres.
Performance Detail
Music Group NAMU’s music is based on three musicians’ improvisatory interactions. NAMU’s ‘Song of Willow’ is a bowl containing NAMU’s own color, each soloist’s musicianship and prodigious improvisation.
‘Song of Willow,’ which is inspired by Korea’s traditional folk music, introduces totally new sonic experiences. NAMU unites Korean traditional sounds to the modulated electric bass, double bass and synthesizer. These would take you to the thoroughly new dimension.
