Company Introduction
Sun&Art is an entertainment company that discovers and supports talented artists and plans, produces and promotes their performances. The Company has collaborated with musicians of different genres: classical music, jazz, Korean traditional music and popera. It is willing to support Korean artists as they go global. As a fruit of such challenges and creative activities, Korea’s representative pansori singer Kim Yongwoo and HG Funktronic became the first Korean artists to be invited to Leopolis Jazz Fest in 2018. Sponsored by the Center Stage Korea project run by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, they successfully toured three Ukrainian cities (Odessa, Vinnytsia and Lviv). They have contributed to widely sharing the excellence of Korean traditional performances through a variety of channels, collaborating and carrying out projects with outstanding Korean traditional singer Park Aeri and Sejong Traditional Orchestra. Sun&Art also serves as the agent of other Korean artists who are active on the global scene: Chung Taeho (leader of La Ventana, Korea’s first-generation tango jazz band), Kim Miso (percussionist) and classical singers playing leading roles at European opera houses. With them, the Company carries out diverse collaborative performances and projects.
Performance Detail
HG FunkTronic distributes Korean traditional music through collaborations with Korean folk singer Kim YongWoo. Based on the K-pop style EDM, the band’s music visualizes the live performance and video art of each piece: not just music, but also performances, DJing, traditional rhythms and sounds, jazz, electronic music, dance music and Korean traditional music.
