He was selected as a new and powerful artist by Arts Council Korea in 2003 which gave him an opportunity to study and train in overseas and selected as a young and distinguished choreographer by critics in 2004 that granted him the prize for the best choreographer. In 2007, was selected as a high-quality piece at the 3rd performing Arts Market in seoul (PAMS).
He was also invited to China, Japan, Singapore, Brazil (São Paulo) (2009) and Russia (Saint Petersburg) (2013). He was also selected for the project of Korea–Finland Connection (2012) and Korea-Denmark Connection(2015) (international exchange projects with Helsinki, Finland and with Copenhagen, Denmark respectively). In addition, he participated in exchanging residency projects with Berlin, ltaly and San Francisco in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. He also performed in Germany (Dresden), Indonesia and Thailand by participating in festivals in 2016 and 2017. Recently he was selected for the LA Ari project. Now his works are going beyond Asia to reach the world.
