Company Introduction
Korean traditional group Tago is a group where young Korean traditional artists engage in diverse creative activities based on traditional Korean art. Their slogan is "We hit to enlighten the world." Tago has excelled at competition of Korean traditional art since 2005. In 2009, they was unanimously awarded with the grand prize at the 1st Creative Korean Traditional Music Festival hosted by Pohang MBC (2009) and the 2nd National Creative Korean Traditional Music for University Students hosted by POSCO (2010). In 2011, they participated in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe attended by the world’s best performers and received five stars for their high-quality performance.

Performance Detail
In Korean Drum, Tago reinterprets the Korean traditional religious rite to make a colorful performance. Korean people used to worship the sky, earth, water and fire in order to wish for their wellness and health. In this performance, Tago expresses such elements of nature with movements of beautiful and stylish lines and with diverse sounds of instruments. The audience’s eyes and ears will be attracted by Tago’s own dynamic performance, oral sounds expressing Korean people’s sorrow, beautiful tunes of the yulgo (instrument combining percussion and string instruments developed by Tago through long-term research) and beats of drums bringing us to the heart of rainstorm and thunder.
