Company Introduction
Chum-Sarang Arts Academy is a group formed by Tae-yeon Jang (dancer of Korea’s traditional Honam Sanjo dance) and Korean traditional dancers. Its artistic director Tae-yeon Jang has contributed to preserving Jeolla Province’s traditional dance by dancing at Daejeon Metropolitan Dance Theater, Honam Dance Research Society and Tae-yeon Jang Dance Company. Jang continues to make diverse attempts to share Korean traditional dance with the public through the natural beauty of Korean dance rather than through dynamic movements.
Performance Detail
This collaborative project introduces Korean traditional dance (Taepyeongmu, Jindo drum dance, Gyobangmu and fan dance) performing traditional music of different countries including Poland.
