"Art Group Obang is a collaborative artistic group led by Artistic Director and Choreographer Hyun Kim, which seeks to create innovative and contemporary ways of expressing human experience with interdisciplinary physical movements.

At the beginning, Art Group Obang was known as a contemporary dance company active in South Korea, America and in Europe. Currently the group is based in New York City, and seeks to create new works that combine elements and aesthetics from Korean traditional dance with contemporary techniques. Art Group Obang is participating in a variety of development projects in the U. S. and in South Korea, including experimental theatre, circus, children’s theatre and musicals."
