Performance Detail

Frameshift is a journey through time. Korea in 1926, 2016 and 2106 are taken as snapshots and we dance the question – who are we as we make our way from the past to the future? Frameshift is an new co-production of Stalker Theatre, Creative Dandi with Seoul Street Arts Festival, incorporating the talents of Stalker choreographers and director with video mapping, interactive technology and artists, and also collaborating with Korean music composer, visual artist and costume designer. Performers of Frameshift are composed of 3 dancers from Stalker, 3 dancers fromm Korean vertical performance group Creative Dandi, and 3 B-boys from Drifterzcrew. Set on three aerial rigs which act as screen projectors, stage, dance floor, tribal turf, climbing gym and circular tracking for the aerialists as they hang, bat-like from the top, Frameshift is as visually stunning as it is multilayered. Frameshift is officially programmed as an opening performance of the Lunar Lanterns Festival hosted by the City of Sydney.
