Gumi Arts Center
|
The Gumi Art Center is the last work of South Korea’s leading architect, Kim Soo-geun, who passed away in 1986. It is the first regional culture and arts center in Korea, and it is of great significance. Therefore, the symbol mark was designed with inspiration from the exterior of the teacher’s building. The repetitive structure reminiscent of a castle or ziggurat (a pyramid-shaped stepped temple tower) reveals the architect’s intention to increase the value of culture and art step by step. Symbolized based on the elevation of this building. |
