Wonju Cultural Center

Since its establishment in May 1954, the Wonju cultural center has been doing its best for the development of Wonju culture as the birthplace of local culture for the past 60 years. Wonju is Gangwon-do’s 500-year-old suburban city, where many traditional cultures live. Our Cultural Center is making great efforts to establish the identity of Wonju culture through the succession and development of these traditional cultural heritages, and to develop cultural contents such as local history education and performances to citizens.
