Project Introduction

1) Creative background
LG Arts Center is co-producing a new dance called with a French choreographer, Pierre Regal. Pierre Regal was deeply impressed with Korean dancers when he conducted a workshop in Korea last year, and from this he envisioned a new work consisting only Korean dancers.

2) Synopsis
The is a dance that deals with conflict between man vs. man, man vs. nature, and man vs. technology. Pierre Regal peers into the phenomena of the world such as cultural discrimination, political/ideological disputes, individual and group conflicts, violence and war, in order to explore the possibility of harmony and coexistence. "Theatre" refers to all the space or
area where all "Operations" occur.

Compagnie Dernire Minute was founded by choreographer Pierre Regal in 2003. Pierre Regal started his career as a choreographer when he met choreographers like Wim Vandekeybus and Bernardo Montet while he was majoring in completely different field of study than dance such as mathematics and economics. He had participated in the creative work of by Gilles Jobin in 2002, and in 2003. Regal appeared in by choreographer Ariry Andriamoratsiresy in 2005, and choreographed in collaboration with Aurlien Bory in 2006. In addition, he performed in as an overseas collaborating artist of The Gate Theatre in U.K. of 2008, and he is active in the world tour with a new work called which began in 2010. While he is a choreographer, he is also active as video and documentary director. The "Compagnie Dernire Minute" is scheduled to perform at Seoul Performing Arts Festival this October.
