Wonju Chiak Arts Center

The concert hall of the Chiak Arts Center was constructed in March 1991, completed in December 1993, and opened on May 1, 1994. At the time of its opening, Wonju had no special space for culture and art, so this concert hall is a venue for various music, dance, theater, and Gugak, which has quickly established itself as a cultural art center in the Gyeongsang provinces as well as the Wonju residents. It has 660 seats, various dressing rooms, lighting facilities, sound facilities, consular facilities and a nearby Tartu parking lot that can be parked simultaneously. As with the geographical location of Wonju, a city of Sotongpaldal, the Chiak Arts Center, located in Seowondaero, which is easy to visit anywhere in Wonju, had 178 performances annually as of 2007, with more than 15 pavilions per month active.
