The Gwangdae—Korean Traditional Performing Arts Troupe
'The Gwangdae’ is a Korean traditional performing arts troupe comprised of Yeonhui (Korean traditional performing arts) professionals. It aims to create works of art suited for the present while incorporating traditional elements such as talchum (mask dance-drama), pungmul (folk percussion ensemble), namsadang nori (all-male vagabond clown theatre) and shamanistic performances. The works of ‘The Gwangdae’ have won public acclaim at home and make frequent appearances at major festivals and arts centers.
