Gonia, renowned as the jazz band with high quality performance, has been playing improvisation for more than 10 years. They have studied Korean traditional rhythm and tried a new style ever after they met Korean Janggu performer Kim Mi-Jung. They have created a new music style, K-jazz, based on Korean traditional rhythm, not ending up to a simple JAM of jazz and Janggu. Gonia presents with more complete unique Korean ethno-jazz, which melts simple, direct but fierece janggu rhythm with sophisticated melody.

The composition of free rhythm of Korean traditional groove of Janggu, free from stereotyped beat, and endless flow of improvisation of base guitar, grants listeners with surprise.
