Artists Introduction
Music group Namu is led by LEE Aram, a prolific contemporary composer and performer of daegeum(a wind instrument) and includes HWANG Minwang on ajaeng(a stringed instrument) and percussions, and CHOI Inhwan on bass. Each member has gained renown in their respective fields as soloists and versatile performers. Their highly polished skills on traditional instruments allow them to create fresh new repertoire based on traditional music. This team has received accolades for both traditional and creative gugak, and is highly anticipated to become one of the stars in Korea’s contemporary music scene.
