Artist Introduction
Heo is a jazz singer based in Seoul, who has a rare talent for melding Korean sensibilities with the swing genre. Heo composed the music and lyrics of all tracks on her first album and has released two jazz standard albums. She has shown the beauty of swing jazz to Korea’s mass audiences. She has performed in New York, Canada, Japan and Singapore and is preparing to reach out further overseas. She is always in present progressive tense, challenging the current limits of jazz, deliberating on how her love for swing jazz and bebop can be fused with Korean lyrics.
