Rather than seeking to westernized traditional Korean music, Jeong Ga Ak Hoe aspires to set a model for how to renew and reinvigorate traditional music to create contemporary works, and thereby introduce global audiences to Korean music. In 2010, Jeong Ga Ak Hoe performed "Pansori Meets Flamenco," which combined the traditional vocal sounds of pansori with flamenco, at the Barcelona Music Market, MMVV. In 2014, the group collaborated with Brazilian musicians on the "Co-bra Project" and was invited to perform this work at the Tongyeong International Music Festival. The group frequently participates in various art markets and festivals overseas and engages in collaborative work. The group has performed at the Hong Kong Arts Festival and at Visa for Music, a leading festival in the Middle Eastern and African regions.

Jeong Ga Ak Hoe tries to modernize the origin of the tradition, not westernize it. The band brings out a new form of world music through collaborations with a variety of musicians worldwide.
