Interview with Project WAE
Project WAE(Why And Exterior) is a project group established in 2010 consisting of young Korean actors and dancers that want to remind the reasons for working in the outside spaces rather than the theater spaces while they are performing as their primary motive. Through our dynamic and acrobatic dance movements, community work in festivals, and international collaboration, the organization makes site-specific street dance performances in the streets and other specific spaces.

프로젝트 외(WAE)는 2010년 젊은 배우들과 무용수들이 ‘왜, 극장공간이 아닌 외부공간에서 작업하는가?(Why And Exterior)'라는 의문과 답안을 늘 상기하며 작업하는 것을 기본 모티브로 구성된 프로젝트 그룹이다. 다양한 일상공간에서 현대인의 삶의 모습을 반영한 작품들로 다양한 관객들을 만나고 있으며 축제에서의 커뮤니티 작업 및 다국적 협업방식을 통해 거리와 여러 특정 공간에서 역동적인 춤으로 장소특정형 거리무용극을 만들고, 삶과 예술의 경계를 허물기 위한 작업을 하고 있다.
